HemoCleanse, Inc. and Ash Access Technology, Inc. Appoint New Officer
Companies Promote Roland K. Winger to Vice President, Engineering and Quality Assurance
Friday, December 10, 2004 3:30 PM EST - - - (Lafayette, Indiana) Robert B. Truitt, President and CEO of HemoCleanse, Inc. and Ash Access Technology, Inc., both Lafayette, Indiana companies, announced the appointment of Roland K. Winger to the position of Vice President, Engineering and Quality Assurance in both organizations. Ash Access Technology is a recent spin-off from HemoCleanse focused on vascular access devices and medical solutions to prevent catheter-related bloodstream infections.
“Roland joined HemoCleanse about 18 months ago as Director, Engineering and Quality Assurance of Ash Access Technology. The responsibilities of his new position as an officer of both companies will be to focus on the transitioning of new products from the R&D stage into the commercialization stage. We have many new products soon to enter this stage which includes final product design, regulatory activities including clinical trials, and manufacturing startup. We are excited to have a person of Roland's capability leading these activities,” says Bob Truitt.
Roland Winger is a 1985 Purdue University graduate in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. He received his Indiana Professional Engineer License in 1991. His past work experience includes General Foods as Project and Site Engineer, Kirby Risk Electrical Supply as Division Manager and Corporate Logistics Manager, and as Administrator and Campus Minister at Purdue's Christian Campus House. “Roland's proven technical and managerial abilities coupled with his gift of working with people in many disciplines will prove invaluable to his success in his new position as we move products out of R&D and into the market place,” says Truitt. Mr. Winger currently serves the community in his elected capacity as a member of the West Lafayette Community School Board.
HemoCleanse, Inc. was co-founded by Mr. Truitt and Dr. Stephen R. Ash in 1989. Dr. Ash, a practicing nephrologist with the Arnett Clinic in Lafayette, Indiana, is a world-recognized researcher in extracorporeal devices, sorbent chemistry, and vascular and peritoneal access devices. HemoCleanse, Inc. and Ash Access Technology, Inc are both located in Lafayette, Indiana at the INOK Business Center.
